I’ve known Julie since the 9th grade and was so unbelievably honored to have photographed her wedding day in the classy city of Washington D.C. It was perfectly sunny with a nice breeze, the epitome of your perfect spring day. It couldn’t have been more beautiful! It was my first time photographing at the Omni Shoreham venue, but it is seriously the perfect place if you want that timeless, classy, and jaw dropping wedding! The one thing that made Julie and Kaveh’s wedding truly unique was the mixed culture aspect of it! Julie and Kaveh celebrated both the American wedding along with the very beautiful Persian wedding as well! It included the “Sofreh Aghd” which is an elaborate Persian spread displayed at the front of the ceremony! They also had some awesome Persian dancing at the reception!! (Don’t worry, you didn’t see me wobbling around trying to look cool) But I love middle eastern music (I actually work out to it at times), only because I took 3 years worth of Arabic in college (don’t know much of it at the moment since it’s been way too long and pregnancy brain pretty much gobbled up that memory!) but listening to the music always helped me understand it a little bit more!
Overall, I couldn’t have been more excited to capture the genuine love between these two. They exude genuine kindness and love. Ever since the moment I met Kaveh (he actually contacted me a long time ago to capture their proposal) and you could tell from the first text that he was head over heels for Julie. It makes my job so easy when the love is so beautiful and genuine! I truly wish you two the best. Your wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect to start out your beautiful marriage! I hope you enjoy 🙂
