Wilmington, NC Newborn Photographer | Baby Benjamin

So sorry for being a little MIA last week, came down with something and was OUT for a whole day… absolutely miserable!! But i’m back on track with the blogging 🙂

Love this session. Especially that there’s so much personal touches to it. From football, touches of patriotism, to including the family throughout the session makes my heart happy 🙂 I LOVE newborn photography, but I also want to keep these photographs timeless. I definitely use the “beanbag” for my photographs, but it’s not the main prop I use for my sessions. The parents and siblings are my main props, because 10 years, 20 years, 50 years from now.. those photographs will be more valuable to the family and ESPECIALLY to your grown up newborn. Little baby Benjamin will hold this photograph of him and his daddy and his mommy and will see without thinking twice that his Dad and Mom loved him from day one. Isn’t that amazing? Gosh, getting all sappy now, but this is why I love what I do. Family is the most important thing that we have in this world that God gave us (except Jesus, that’s a given ;)). To capture that love and dedication is so so so important to me as a photographer. So if you ever want to do a newborn session, please make sure you, the mommy, are included in the photographs, no matter how swollen or icky you feel (I’m sure you look beautiful), because your baby 15 years from now looking back at this photograph will think you are the most beautiful woman in the world. If you do a session with me, you will not leave without a photograph of you and your baby. Even if you don’t feel yourself, I will make you feel beautiful and you will love the way you look in your photograph. I don’t just capture you and your baby, but I capture the powerful and overwhelming love a mother has for her child. Love might not be tangible, but it is so evident in a photograph and it is purely BEAUTIFUL. Children don’t judge us for being messy or chubby, they judge us by our love for them and the time we spend with them. (The mother in this session had no swelling or anything, she was one of the lucky ones!! I wasn’t one of the lucky ones! LOL)

Can I get an Amen? Alright, now off to spending the morning with my baby!

Lovely family! And I agree…Mommy (Daddy & sibs) should always be in the picture.ReplyCancel
