Military Homecoming- Camp Lejeune Photographer- Jacksonville, NC

Where do I begin? Alissa and I became friends back in May and it feels like we have been friends our whole lives. Not quite an exaggeration. We were both new mothers with our husbands deployed. Her husband left a week after their baby was born. We knew what each other was going through. We never had to explain anything, we just got each other. That is the beauty of the military world. Your husband might be gone, you might be left with a baby to raise by yourself, but God gives you amazing friendships to fill that void. I got so lucky to find such wonderful women to take me in and care, encourage, and support me through my tough situation.

To get the opportunity to capture Alissa’s first moments of seeing her husband after ten months was a great honor. First, I loved the fact I was the one who got to capture it for her (makes me feel oh so special!), and secondly I loved that I was the one there to experience the giddy moments and nerves that I experienced a month prior. There’s nothing like it. It feels just like the time I got ready to walk down the aisle. This wasn’t even her first deployment and she was so so excited to say the least! It never gets old to see your loved one for the first time in months. You might be wondering where her daughter is; she stayed at home with a friend so Mommy and Daddy could have their first moments together! Ah! Here are the photos that I took. Oh btw, I was her stylist if you couldn’t tell 🙂 Enjoy enjoy!

You are so beautiful Alissa!

We thought the bus was coming around the corner! (False alarm)

The nerves, oh the nerves!

So beyond excited!

Gotta volumize the hair! Been there girl! Plump it up!

My favorite photo of Alissa.

Here he is! Just seconds away from pulling up on the bus!

Together at last. Pure joy 🙂
On cloud nine 🙂
So happy for you, girl! If any of you are interested in getting your hubby’s homecoming capture, please contact me! This is one of my favorite new things to do.

I am contacting you in hopes of gaining more information on your military homecoming photography services. My boyfriend was supposed to come home from Afghanistan mid October but he got approved to return to NC early with a sgt mgr, so he will now be arriving at Camp Lejeune around September 20th and I am now frantically searching for a photographer. If you would please contact me back regarding pricing, availability etc.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing back from you!
